Empowering Refugee & Migrant Women
through Creative Methods and Digital Literacy
Today, we are excited to share an inspiring initiative from Graz, Austria. The Caritas Austria project supports women from disadvantaged backgrounds, including migrants and refugees, who have been out of the job market for some time. The program enables them to gradually re-enter the workforce by engaging in the entire process of creating clothes and accessories using natural materials.
The primary goal is to strengthen these women's self-esteem, empower them to act independently and help them regain their footing in everyday working life. Additionally, the project provides financial support until the participants are ready for full-time employment. This holistic approach enhances their professional skills and promotes a sense of community and belonging.
