Empowering Refugee & Migrant Women
through Creative Methods and Digital Literacy
The first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) of the Erasmus+ REMCREAD project, aimed at empowering migrant and refugee women in partner countries, took place in Palermo from 15th to 17th May 2024. Participants from Poland, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and Cyprus gathered to discuss the challenges faced by refugee and immigrant women in new countries. They analyzed the results of studies conducted in various EU countries, which emerged from focus groups held in the preceding months, and shared best practices for support, education, and integration. The intense three-day meeting was characterized by a collaborative atmosphere enriched by the fantastic Italian cuisine and hospitality.
The REMCREAD project, a testament to our unwavering commitment to empowering refugee and migrant women, provides them with training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. This initiative, which is co-funded by the European Union, is a tangible manifestation of our shared values and our collective effort to make a positive difference in the lives of these women.
